Proverbs 31: 8-9
8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed.
9 Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
and see that they get justice.
Wow. This is my calling. This is who I believe God has called me to be. Time and time again, I’ve been moved to help those that can’t help themselves, and this is why I’m striving to become a Family Lawyer. I want people to see the God in me. I want to be a Christian that just so happens to be a lawyer. I want to show the world His love. My friend wrote me a note with these scriptures, and it’s like God sent her at that very moment to confirm the doubt I was having in myself and His plan for me.
